Details: ProDec is the UK's biggest and most widely distributed brand of trade decorating tools and accessories. This low tack masking tape enables you to protect surfaces quickly and easily when painting an adjoining surface, preventing unwanted paint marks, flicks and splashes. It has good resistance to paint bleed, giving a crisp straight line and low to zero residue when peeled. The special low tack adhesive means it won't damage newly painted (less than 28 days) and delicate surfaces when removed (check our quick guide below on how to best achieve this). It's also suitable for wood surfaces such as skirting boards, architraves and window sills, metal, glass, mouldings, switches, sockets and more, as well as being ideal for fixing polythene dust sheets to walls, doorways, etc. to prevent overpainting from brushes, rollers and spray. It's easy to tear, enabling quick and convenient coverage of both long and short runs. To ensure best results, the tape should be applied with even but not excessive pressure. For the cleanest edge it should ideally be removed before the paint dries, to prevent any paint skin forming over the join between the tape and the painted surface, and within a maximum of 24 hours after application. Always try a small, unobtrusive area first to check compatibility with the surface. Some wallpapers such as painted or highly patterned papers may not be suitable for masking tape - always test first and do not apply with excessive pressure.
