Details: ProDec is the UK's biggest and most widely distributed brand of trade decorating tools and accessories.
Precision Edge Masking Tape makes achieving razor paint sharp lines simple, protecting surfaces quickly and easily and preventing unwanted paint marks, flicks and splashes. It's made using Japanese rice paper that has long, strong fibres that give excellent barrier properties and eliminate paint bleed for the crispest of edges. The paper is coated with a high tech adhesive that gives even application when put down and smooth release when peeled, leaving no residue. It's easy to tear, enabling quick and convenient coverage of both long and short runs.
Yellow Precision Edge is the standard adhesion grade, suitable for bare and previously painted surfaces where the paint has fully cured (more than 28 days). It's suitable for walls, wood surfaces such as skirting boards, architraves and window sills, metal, glass, mouldings, switches, sockets and more. To ensure best results, the tape should be applied with even but not excessive pressure and should ideally be removed before the paint dries, to prevent any paint skin forming over the join between the tape and the painted surface, and within a maximum of 24 hours after application.
Always try a small, unobtrusive area first to check compatibility with the surface. For delicate or newly painted surfaces, Low Tack Precision Edge (green) should be used to avoid surface damage; for hot spots such as conservatories, south facing windows, etc. UV Resistant Precision Edge (blue) should be used to prevent excessive adhesion caused by heat.
Some wallpapers such as painted or highly patterned papers may not be suitable for masking tape - always test first and do not apply with excessive pressure.
All grades of Precision Edge tape do not require any special storage conditions.
